What the CSV contains.
One row per transaction, one header row, no merged cells or page furniture. Amounts are plain numbers with no currency symbols or thousands separators, so the file sorts and sums correctly the moment it opens. Switch the profile and delimiter to see the exact file you would download.

Amber row: description wrapped across two printed lines and was merged; flagged for review. Opening and closing balances go in the Conversion Report, never as fake rows.
- Plain decimals
- No currency symbols or thousands separators, so every importer parses amounts as numbers.
- UTF-8 with BOM
- Excel and Google Sheets open it directly, accented characters intact, no import wizard.
- Dates your way
- The statement's date order is detected; choose ISO or your locale's pattern before download.
- Regenerated on edit
- Fix, merge, or split a row in review and the CSV and Conversion Report are rebuilt.
Why convert bank statements to CSV here.
- 01
Reconciled, not just extracted
Opening + credits − debits must equal closing, and every running balance must follow from the previous one. The result of each check is shown before you download the CSV.
- 02
Clean numbers
Amounts are written as plain decimals without currency symbols or thousands separators. Debits and credits sit in separate columns in the accounting profile, or in one signed Amount column in the standard profile.
- 03
Any bank, any country
The parser reads the structure of the page rather than a template per bank, and detects the date order, decimal separator and currency each statement uses.
- 04
Scanned statements included
Image-only PDFs are deskewed and read with OCR. Rows built from low-confidence words are flagged with a reason so you can check them against the original.
- 05
Import-ready profiles
Three column profiles (Standard, Accounting, Full), ISO dates and UTF-8 with a byte-order mark, so Excel and Google Sheets open the file directly and the QuickBooks, Xero or Sage import wizard maps every column first time.
- 06
Deleted after 24 hours
Files are encrypted in transit and stored under random keys. Originals are deleted 24 hours after processing; exports and extracted transactions 7 days after conversion; Delete now removes everything immediately. Account numbers are stored masked.

Bank statement to CSV: questions
Use the accounting profile (Date, Description, Debit, Credit, Balance) for accounting software and reconciliation. Use the standard profile when you only need a signed amount per row. The full profile adds posting dates, payee, references, check numbers, currency and the masked account number.
Yes. The file is UTF-8 with a byte-order mark, so Excel reads accented characters, and amounts are plain decimals that Excel treats as numbers. If your Excel locale expects semicolons, pick the semicolon delimiter before downloading.
No. Amounts are exported exactly as printed on the statement, in the statement's own currency. The full profile includes a Currency column.
Continuation lines are joined into a single description cell and the row is flagged so you can check the merge in the review screen before downloading.
Every conversion is reconciled against the printed opening and closing balances and the running balance column. The result appears as a Conversion Confidence Score with a list of any issues, and you can click any row to see where it came from on the page.
On paid plans you can upload a batch, download the results as a ZIP, or merge several conversions into a single export.
